Preparation
Step 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C top and bottom heat.
Step 2 Place the chestnuts on the flat side. Use a sharp, serrated knife to cut a cross into the round side.
Step 3 Place the chestnuts on a baking tray so that the cut side faces up.
Step 4 Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove when the chestnuts turn golden brown.
Step 5 Allow to cool slightly before serving.

TIP: When cutting into the chestnuts, you should cut the cross as large as possible. If you use it to cut into the chestnuts yourself, that's no problem.
